The Bristal offers the ultimate in senior living. We are looking for a part time assistant for our dementia unit.
In this role, you will provide resident care services to residents with Dementia while maintaining their safety and comfort. You must be reliable, caring and gentle. You must have an abiding respect for the elderly and have the ability to remain calm at all times.
Qualification
· Certified Nursing Assistant, Personal Care Attendant or Home Health Aide in the State of New York.
· Must speak and read in English and follow verbal instructions
· Previous experience with geriatric Residents preferred; providing assistance with ADLs
· Ability to follow instructions and establish personal care routine.
· Basic understanding of aseptic and sterile techniques.
· Patience, tact and desire to serve those who are ill or incapacitated.
· Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and related personal care.
· Ability to adjust to many types of personalities and situations
